Develops and promotes volunteer opportunities within the organization.
Engages staff to assess needs for volunteer assistance.
Ensures volunteers are staffed to support various areas of the ministry, including assisted transportation, reassurance calls, and clerical support.
Provides transportation for seniors when volunteers are not available as time permits.
Priority is medical transportation for seniors.
Provides ongoing support and guidance for reassurance volunteers by serving as the point of contact for communications.
Confers with volunteers to promote cooperation, interest, and mission focus.
Works with staff to support volunteers and provide accurate information and assistance to volunteers.
Ensures that volunteer ministry services are provided in a courteous manner consistent with the values and missions of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and HealthVisions Midwest.
Assists the staff and Director to organize and arrange volunteer recognition and appreciation activities.
Works with local businesses to donate gifts and incentives for volunteer appreciation.
Coordinates volunteer marketing projects with the staff.
Creates and distributes volunteer ministry communications and publications and highlights volunteer ministries--posts on the HVMESL Facebook page or other social media platforms weekly.
Facilitates distribution of relevant volunteer information.
