A fully licensed and accredited, general acute care Hospital in Litchfield, IL (45 mins away from East St. Louis) is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist
Position
Summary:
Performs, interprets, and correlates laboratory procedures that require the broad exercise of independent judgment and
responsibility with minimal technical supervision. Maintains equipment and records; performs quality assessment activities
related to test performance; consultant or researcher within a medical laboratory setting. Subsumes all aspects of the
Technician's role.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university including courses in biological science, chemistry and
mathematics, AND
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technologist
(MT) program OR MLT(ASCP) and bachelor's degree with 2 years full time lab experience in an accredited lab.Educational requirements apply to any new hire after 6/1/2014.
Incumbents are held to the education standard at time of hire and will be
exempt from the above requirement and given credit for experience as long as they are able to demonstrate knowledge and ability to
perform job duties based on the local entity's ongoing assessment of competency.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency,
ASCP or NCA, required. Preferred certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, or other laboratory certifying agency.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
